Safety check. Ensuring that the garden area is safe after the gardeners team left requires careful planning and monitoring. Materials such as sand and wood chips are soft enough to fall asleep. Provide some shade, cool water and treats in the play space, and an espresso machine for the human. Keep children and other little creatures safe indoors.

I really want to go out! Mr. Bowie is not amused at all because he has to stay inside. A gardeners team is taking care of the annual garden clean up. Big and dangerous machines are making a lot of noise outside. We had to wear ear plugs indoor to enjoy our espresso and treats… Nevertheless we will make up for it tomorrow! Glad the summer is not ending…

Belgium is now also officially in heat wave. The heatwave is expected to last several days and has already seen temperatures rise as high as 35 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, we enjoyed the hottest day of the year. It’s too hot to work in the recording studio so we have enough water and beverages ready, and reserve our place to relax in the shade.
Mr. Bowie joined me this morning at 7 o’clock to read the newspaper. What a nice place to enjoy the morning sun, my friend. I love the quiet of the morning, the peaceful calm of a day starting up. Oh did I mention the espresso and dark chocolate?

Worst. Summer. Ever. I’m having the worst summer ever? June recorded as one of the wettest and dullest starts to summer ever. The weatherman predicted persistent, heavy showers with the risk of thunder and hail for the next weeks. Summer on hold, forget the sun cream. The majority of Belgians don’t believe they will have a hot summer.
I love to eat breakfast outside and it has to be a quality time. Every day we have plenty of opportunities to feel sad, get angry, stressed or offended. Thank goodness the sun was shining this morning. Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

What’s the pressure, Mr. Bowie? Just let me finish my espresso first… It was a short night.
Warmer days ahead. May 1 is the 122nd day of the year (in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. This post is not about the date May 1 or the International Workers’ Day. It’s about Mr. Bowie holding on to the sunshine. Finally, temperatures in this part of the wold will be a warmer later in the week. It’s time to buy vanilla ice cream for Mr. Bowie and coffee ice cream for the human. Yeah!
Finally, we made it through the winter and spring is in the air. Mr. Bowie is outside enjoying the first warmer days. I’m looking forward to having breakfast and espresso outside. But first I got to get rid of the snails in the garden. Let’s set out some beer traps. We need to secure Mr. Bowie’s catnip plantation.
Get out of the way, Monday. It’s time for Mr. Bowie.
Show yourself, Mr. Bowie! Come out with your paws in the air. It makes no difference who or what you are, Mr. Bowie. The area is completely surrounded by the National Bird Security.
Looking back on the past may not only stop you from enjoying each day. Research suggests that cats who look back at their past experiences full of regrets about missed opportunities are more likely to fall ill and generally have a poorer quality of life. Or did you hear the sound of the cat treat box, Mr. Bowie?
How Belgians are responding to the terror #BrusselsLockdown. Belgian police asked people not to tweet details of their operations hunting the Paris killers, but they did ask for Twitter users to ‘support’ the hashtag #BrusselsLockdown. Belgians responded to the request with good humour, retweeting cat pictures.
Don’t need a roller or a limousine. I don’t need my picture in a blog or a magazine. Tell you what I do need, I need a cat treat.

You can’t always get what you want. Mr. Bowie can see the clouds are moving faster now. Even on cloudy and rainy days the sun waits to break through. Be patient, Mr. Bowie, I can see better times ahead. Things will work out all right.
Behind every dark cloud the sun still shines. So Mr. Bowie, maybe today you feel as if nothing for you is going right and everything is just going bad because you have to stay inside. Just remember you might think you have it bad, but some cats somewhere else have it worst than you do.

Dishes on the table. Dinner is ready for the Great Grey Hunter. Climbing the social ladder is possible with the right mentality and willpower. There are some shortcuts, like catching a mouse in the house of the human.
Sending a signal. At some point, you will have to leave your cat alone. At another point, you will have to leave that last piece of chocolate alone. You will see the same signal.
Table manners. Rise and shine to a healthy meal sized just right for a cat and a human. It’s the perfect way to start the day. Mr. Bowie thinks he’s a big boy and needs to eat off his plate at the table…
I want to get away. Mr. Bowie, and the dogs in the neighbourhood, didn’t like the sound of the burner noise of this hot air balloon flying overhead. Mr. Bowie ran back into the house.
