Newsflash #18

Life is no bed of roses. Unfortunately, Mr. Bowie’s eye condition is deteriorating. We are trying a new medicine the next week but it looks like surgery will be necessary… What’s gives you peace of mind when times are tough and stressful? More espressos and chocolate?

But hey, we had a good day yesterday. We celebrated Mr. Bowie’s Gotcha Day. We are 8 years together and I invited some close friends for Mr. B’s party. And there was a little surprise for the human too… Thank you so much, my dear J.

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

The Hardest Part

Sometimes waiting is the hardest part. But remember, Mr. Bowie, the catnip that grows slower bear the greatest fruit! Just relax and enjoy the sun. The future’s so bright, you probably gotta wear shades.

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Oh Spring…

Snow began falling last Saturday and Sunday. Just when I thought I was out (of the cold), they pull me back in! Having a few emergency supplies on-hand can save you a lot of discomfort and trouble when a winter storm hits. You should have enough supplies, especially coffee and chocolate, to survive without leaving your house for a few days. Oh spring, I long for you…

A Good Friend

So many books, so many friends. I always like to have a good book around to read, it’s like having a good friend. Mark Twain said, “Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.” Ernest Hemingway said, “There is no friend as loyal as a book.” I can only confirm that they were both right.
One of many reasons why I consider myself lucky is because I have another good and loyal furry friend. Are you waiting for a bedtime story, Mr. Bowie?

Say Goodbye and Say Hello

Live long and prosper. 2016 was a bumpy and emotional ride for me, my family and some dear friends. It looks like things can only get better in the new year. On the other hand, someone pointed out that I’m lucky. I’m born in a place where we are free to practice our beliefs without question. But the world is changing, and changing fast in some expected and unexpected parts. Freedom can easily slip away. Freedom for every religion, gender, race, belief and orientation. We must remain watchful to protect these freedoms.

Happy New Year! Hope you have a great new year 2017. May all your dreams come true. Looking at the photograph, Mr. Bowie seems to say “Live long and prosper”. He probably picked it up from watching too many Star Trek episodes as a kitten. Thank you for hanging out with us at HoB. Thanks for all your likes, comments and kindness. Love, peace and happiness.

Mr. Bowie says “Happy Meow Year!” Viva la Vida!

Some Good

Street on fire. Live report: This torchlight procession offers the inhabitants of my village a unique opportunity to kick off a brand new winter event in our village. And tonight, all the proceeds will go to people and animals in need.
