I really want to go out! Mr. Bowie is not amused at all because he has to stay inside. A gardeners team is taking care of the annual garden clean up. Big and dangerous machines are making a lot of noise outside. We had to wear ear plugs indoor to enjoy our espresso and treats… Nevertheless we will make up for it tomorrow! Glad the summer is not ending…
Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.
At least he is in the house.. I just got Sigh from the garden…She was barking at our neighbour because he was cutting his grass! Have a nice day!
Thank you! I can picture the scene. My neighbours all have dogs so… a lot of barking going on right now! 😉
Those machines are VERY noisy……now that Sam’s hearing isn’t very good it doesn’t really bother him but it sure bothers me! I’ll have to “double up” on my espresso and chocolate to make up for it!
Pam
Oh yes…!! “Double Up” on the espresso and chocolate… Thank you so much for this fantastic advice!
My pleasure………!
My two handle thunder and firecrackers with great aplomb, but what does cause them stress and alarm is the sound of the power mower. Once a week during the season, then, my two kitties run to the opposite side of the house and hide under a bed until the grass outside is mowed..
Well, Mr. Bowie loves to watch thunderstorms and lightning, even the annual firework show, but he’s so frightened by the sound of the telephone (and cell phones) and my doorbell. So weird…
Poor Mr B, what a heavy price to pay for progress 😉
Thank goodness we have cat treats for compensation… 😉
All is good in the world then!
Hofke terug toppie zou … zeggen!
Ziet er echt weer heel mooi uit. Alleen een beetje jammer dat de leibomen links weer wat ‘kaler’ zijn…
Bowie will eventually appreciate the effort the gardener’s put in when he’s laying outside under a nicely trimmed hedge. Have a nice day Herman. The kids say “meow” to Bowie. 😀
Thank you, Mary J! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”
Mr. Bowie hears the reason why to stay inside, cats are so wise that they understand to pretend.
Oh yes, never underestimate a cat…
Aw Poor Mr Bowie, but much better to be safe inside! Maybe if you look pitiful enough, you’ll get ice cream! 🙂
Ice cream with a cat treat on top of it… 😉
hahaha Purrfect! 😀
Mr Bowie you are very wise to keep an eye on that garden monster. It could easily take away your treats.
Oh no…!! Not his favourite cat treats…
One can never be too careful with such beasts. 😉
i’m with Mr. Bowie i dislike gas mowers and leaf blowers…they are too loud 😀
So true… I’m always using ear plugs or let other people do the work! 🙂
i usually leave…and go to the woods 😀
A very wise decision…
Peace, love and understanding. I love it. MaChatte hates the big lawn mowers too. It’s not fit for a cat out there when that stuff is going on, Mr. Bowie, but it will look different when you get to go out after it’s done. New trimmed places to explore! Enjoy the treats inside for now.
He will have a great time checking out the newly trimmed garden. And afterwards getting a treat as surprise…
I hate those noisy machines, too. It is still too hot here to be outside much. I am enjoying my coffee at the window these days. The cats ask when we are moving to a place like Mr. Bowie’s so they can have a catio. I am working on it is not what they want to hear.
Haha… cats always know what they really want! 🙂
Mr. Bowie is a very lucky cat having such a safe garden to enjoy whenever he wants to.
Temperatures are mid 20’s (Celsius) these days, perfect for spending your day outside…
I am glad of that for you and Mr. Bowie
Those machines are mean and dangerous. But then you have a nice cleaned up garden.
The garden looks very beautiful now the work is done. Thank goodness summer is still here the next days…
Patience, my dear Mr. Bowie! Just think of how lovely the garden will be once they’re finished! 😊
Oh yes! The guys did a perfect job and everything looks very beautiful. We are going to have a great time outside the next days…
Super grappige foto!!!
I think Bowie can take that thing…he is a clever cat.
You are probably right, Christine… Next time I’ll let Mr. Bowie go out and face that thing! 😉
dood…well yur gardin DOEZ look awesum…tho yea….that masheen kneadz ta go…& knot come bak !!! hope all iz well with ewe N dad ♥♥♥☺☺☺
Thank you, my friend! Don’t you worry, that dangerous looking machine is gone and Mr. Bowie is a very happy cat now he can go back outside…
Have a nice day! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”
Awww- poor Mr.Bowie! I can’t go out either- it’s RAINING!! *POUT!*
Oh no… raining…. we hate that too!
Well, my dear Shrimp, it looks like you are a very busy Kat. Good luck with your new blog and your stories about the frustrations of living with the lower life forms, their creatures and your furry relatives!
PS: Thank you for following HoB. Much appreciated! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”
Why thank you!! Thanks fur stopping by! It’s so good to see you here! Here’s a treat fur Mr.Bowie! 🐥
Poor Mr. Bowie. My critters sympathize. They have an anipal door onto the garden and are most indignant on the rare occasion it is shut. 😀
I think Mr. Bowie wanted to chase that team out of his garden! But those machines were a bit too scary I guess…
At least you and Mr. Bowie are safe and sound inside! I am not a fan of leaf blowers, much preferring a rake. have some extra cat treats, dark chocolate and espresso, Herman and Mr. Bowie!
We followed your advice, Lavinia. Thank you!
And back at you .. Don’t you worry Mr B, you’ll be allowed out soon!
Oh yes, he can hardly wait to get back outside and enjoy this summer…
Best to stay inside. If you went out, the garden crew would put you to work. 🙂
Haha… I’ll keep that in mind but hey, the crew got espressos and chocolate treats in their breaks!
Even a vacuum cleaner is way too much for a cat, not to mention the terrible noise when it’s picking up trash day every Monday, uh somebody is hiding under the couch, but of course it involves treats when it’s all over!
Oh yes, the vacuum cleaner… Mr. Bowie hates it when I’m using that thing on Fridays. Oh wait a minute… it’s Friday! Mr. Bowie, run for your life… 😉
It’s Friday for Moshu too,run run and come back for the treat! Have a great purring weekend you two.
Haha… Moshu and Mr. Bowie should form a team!
Have a nice weekend, Cornelia!
I think they would be the perfect team!
I didn’t know they made cat earplugs! 😉
For cats…?? Everything, Laura… really everything! 😉
Hehehehe. Hope those delicate ears of Mr Bowie don’t get irritated.
Good Lord! Look out Mr Bowie, if that’s the garden equipment, the gardener must be a giant. Take two naps and call me in the morning. x B
The team has left the building and Mr. Bowie can enjoy a beautiful garden once again… And I’ll have my espresso outside, please…

I haven’t visited you guys so long! I am helping my daughter with her new baby, and we are very busy, but I see that you are busy too, especially Mr. Bowie who is supervising the landscaping works. Whom else would you trust this important task?
Hi Inese! Congratulations for the wee addition to your family! What a lovely sweet little baby!
Thank you so much, Herman! 🙂
I do like neat edges and round shrubs like that 😊
Hi Charlotte! The landscape gardener did a really great job.
We’re still having a good time outside with this warm weather.
It looks like Mr. Bowie may have been trying to intimidate the machine into leaving. 🙂
Well, he did gave it a try… and the gardeners were afraid of his look! 😉
