Respect the law. Ornithology is a very boring science with a restraining order that says scientists, paparazzi, the owner of the garden and a cat named Mr. Bowie has to stay 3 meters away from the newly hatched nestlings.
In this part of the world there’s a law and policy that protects the Common Blackbird (Turdus merula). You’re okay so far, but don’t push your luck, my feathered friends.

Two cats named Picasso and Chagall are on their way to hold protest with Mr. Bowie against this cat-unfriendly restraining order!

I’m wondering myself… but being an ornithologist is a hard job I guess!
I just had a very funny thought. He’s not yelling or yawning, he’s singing…an opera! A tragic one that expresses how he’s feeling about the bird law.
Maybe he plays Papageno, the bird-catcher from Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute?
