Sunday Siesta

I’m very chill. Some days I feel full of energy and some days I don’t, just like Mr. Bowie. On a sunny day, you can improve your health and you don’t need to spend hours in the gym. Just take a look at Mr. Bowie.

Thank you for all your good wishes and concern in the previous post. Much appreciated! Sorry I didn’t respond to all of you. Next Tuesday we’re going back to the hospital to see a specialist. Let’s keep our fingers and paws crossed and hope Mr. Bowie’s eye condition is improving.

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

  1. That is a REALLY adorable photo of a sunbathing Mr. Bowie. Sometimes a little sun can make you feel “brand new” again! I will be hoping and praying that Mr. Bowie’s eye condition HAS improved. Then you can celebrate together when you get back home (you with espresso/chocolate and Mr. B with catnip and sunshine!).

    • Thank you for this kind comment, Pam. Much appreciated!
Hope you’re having a fantastic Sunday! Mr. Bowie sends his regards.

  2. Mr Bowie’s doing a “camo” stretch, as he blends in with the rocks very well. All the kitties have been sending healing purrs and we are all sending positive thoughts and good vibrations for Mr Bowie’s eye to be healed.

    • Hi Tim! WP placed your comment in the spam folder… How rude! I think we need to send the goon squad over to their building… 😉

Thank you so much for your heartwarming comment, my dear friend! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards!
Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

    • Thank you so much, my friend! I really hope this sunbath gave Mr. Bowie some extra positive vibes to cure him a little bit faster…
I enjoyed the sun in combination with an espresso and dark chocolate, of course…

Hope you’re having a great Sunday!

  3. See how perfectly Mr. Bowie takes one day at a time and enjoys the simple pleasures to the fullest. What an example to all. Good luck at the specialist Mr. Bowie and don’t give Herman too hard a time about going to the vet. He wants you to get better.

    • Thank you so much for this heartwarming comment, Angela. You are so right, the world would be a better place if everyone learned to enjoy the little pleasures in life…
Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

    • Haha… yes, he almost looks like a (chocolate) Easter Bunny… 😉
Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday! Mr. Bowie sends his regards!

    • He was really enjoying the warm sunlight… Now let’s hope everything goes well next week!
      Have a nice day, David!

    • Thank you so much, my dear friend! We should follow his example more often. Cats are really very wise creatures…

Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday! Mr. Bowie sends his regards to the North!

      • Yes thanks, Herman it’s 8.am on Monday over this neck of the woods, really warm for winter and cloudy with maybe some rain. Have a lovely sunday.

        • Okay, I forgot you are ahead of me but hey, it’s almost midnight (and Monday too) in this part of the world… Time to go to bed for me. Mr. Bowie is already catching zzz’s…

  4. Wow, that is relaxation! Best wishes for the doc visit next week; fingers crossed, eyes crossed, and I told MaChatte about Mr. Bowie and she will cross her paws. 🙂

    • Thank you so much, my dear friend! I hope you can have a relaxing day, just like Mr. Bowie…
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards to MaChatte!

  5. Mr Bowie looks very content. I hope everything goes well with the visit to the specialist. What a star for tummy rub Tuesday!

    • Thank you so much, Christine! We’re keeping our fingers and paws crossed…
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards!

  6. Catnaps and human naps are the most comfort to overcome the feeling of lack of energy. Though Mr.Bowie seems to be very content in his sun bathing nap, maybe he got a little catnip??? Wishing you both a better week, hugs and meows from three legged Moshu and her owner

    • Thank you very much, Cornelia! Mr. Bowie doesn’t like the catnip I planted this year. I think I need to buy another sort next year… 😉
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards to Moshu and her owner!

      • Thank you so much Herman, and Moshu says: ” I don’t like any catnip either, this year my owner hit the golden pot with catnip, I’m very pleased with it, it takes right there where I wanted to be, please give my meows to my pal Mr.Bowie”

        • I had a very good quality of catnip in the past but I forgot the name of it. I can judge on Mr. Bowie’s reaction that I bought the wrong one for sure…
Thank goodness I always remember to buy the right brand of chocolate!

            • Thank you for this info, Cornelia. I’m going to check out some local chocolate stores to see if I can find Ragusa chocolate… Sounds very promising!

  7. Sending you and Mr. Bowie best wishes for a good outcome on the eye problem. All the cats and crew here send a big “meow”! 🙂

We’re into the really hot and dry weather now. Forecast is in the mid 90s to 110 this week. At least it cools down into the 50s at night.

    • Hi Lavinia! Thank you very much for your concern and support. I really hope to get some good news this week… Keeping our fingers and paws crossed.
Mr. Bowie sends his regards to all his furry friends and the humans of Salmon Brook Farms!

PS: Mr. Bowie has caught 2 mice last evening so it looks like he can see a little bit better in the dark… 😉

      • Mr. Nano send his personal congratulations on the mice, and will relay the news to the rest of the crew. He says the voles are now getting out of control here, and he is looking forward to Mr. Bowie’s help. 🙂

The cherry tree garden is surviving the heat. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst day, then slightly cooler for the next week or so.

        • Glad to read that the cherry tree garden is surviving the heat! It has a special place in my heart forever.

I’ll ask Mr. Bowie, when he’s cured from that nasty eye infection, to pay Nano and the cat crew a visit so he can help you… 🙂

    • Thank you so much, my dear friend! We all join and keep our paws and fingers crossed for some good news!
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards!

    • Thank you very much, Julie. We have to go back next Friday. Keeping our paws and fingers crossed…
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards!

  8. Look at that fluffy tummy ! ❤ A wee catnap on the garden path is just what the Dr ordered. Thank you for giving me a day off at the gym Mr Bowie, you are a good friend! All paws and fingers are crossed on this side of the pond for your visit to the hospital. Arms around you both xo

    • Thank you so much for all your kind words, my dear Boomdee! This really means a lot to me. We have to go back tomorrow for a second checkup and we’re crossing our fingers and paws…
Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” and sends his regards!

  9. That’s the sweetest photo of Mr Bowie. 🙂 We could all learn a lesson or two from him on how to really relax. 🙂
