Oh Spring…

Snow began falling last Saturday and Sunday. Just when I thought I was out (of the cold), they pull me back in! Having a few emergency supplies on-hand can save you a lot of discomfort and trouble when a winter storm hits. You should have enough supplies, especially coffee and chocolate, to survive without leaving your house for a few days. Oh spring, I long for you…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

  1. Wat tellen we allemaal af naar de lente, de warmte van de zon, de natuur die terug wakker wordt en de extra energie die we allemaal daardoor krijgen ❤ .

  2. 81 degrees F. here. In early February, when it should be snow and ice. The little peeper frogs have emerged. Please enjoy the snow. This is not right, here!

  3. Always be prepared……emergency supplies on hand means comfort when trapped in the house due to snow! Mr. Bowie is glad you have espresso and chocolate…..and hoping there’s a box of treats for him stashed away for a snowy day too!

    • Oh yes, we got more cat treats than chocolate. Wish I was a cat in this house!

Baby Teddy… looking forward meeting that little fellow!

  4. Nothing like being well-stocked in the espresso and chocolate department, Herman. And don’t forget Mr. Bowie’s favorite treats! 🙂

We could still get more snow here between now and April, but the worst of the really cold weather appears to be over now. Wishing you and Mr. Bowie and wonderful, peace-filled day while you enjoy the snow. Stay warm and dry, and well-fed. A good day for the two of you to work together in the studio! 🙂

    • We’re already enjoying the extra daylight so we can dream about the spring. Although, 3 years ago we had 30 days of snow in March…

Mr. Bowie’s taking a nap in the studio. Guess it’s time for an espresso and treats for my furry friend. Have a nice day, Lavinia. Mr. Bowie sends his regards to the Cat crew!

PS: I ordered extra treats for Mr. Bowie on line.

  5. Keeping stocked up on the essentials is critical in the winter. I think Mr. Bowie knows those words are about espresso, and wonders where the box of cat treats is….? Keep hunting them; Herman has them there somewhere. Keep warm and cozy!

    • Haha… Okay, let me think about it, Cornelia! Maybe it’s not a bad idea of writing a post about my chocolate addiction and all the secret places where you can find chocolate in my house…

  7. Always good to have emergency chocolate supplies laid in. 🙂
I like that Mr Bowie is checking it out – maybe wondering where his special cat treats are? 🙂
I wish I could send you some of our heat today! We have too much and you don’t have enough! 🙂
Ooops sorry – I just hit the un-follow button instead of the send! I have instantly re-followed you. 🙂

    • Glad you’re back following us… we would miss you, my dear friend!

Oh yes, please… we would love to receive some of that hot weather you got. Thank goodness spring is just around the corner, well kinda…

      • Thank you! And very much Likewise! I love following the adventures of Mr Bowie. 🙂
I’m hoping our heatwave is a last hurrah of summer and we’ll get cooler weather soon – just as you hope for the exact opposite! 🙂

    • Hi Julie! Well, coffee, chocolate and cat treats are very important in this household… 😉
      Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”

    • Spring is arriving this week in this part of the world! Temperatures will rise and rise and rise… Thank goodness!
Soon I’ll be outside enjoying Nespresso and chocolates…

Keep an eye on your Nespresso and chocolate stock, my dear Boomdee! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”

  8. On February 14, we had to say goodbye to our 16+ year old Balinese (long-hair Siamese) cat–Keona. How difficult to lose such a gentle and loving best friend. I want to write something about this, but I haven’t been able to do that…not yet.
I thought of you and Mr. Bowie, and the loss felt by all who followed you and him.
    Always in our hearts. Always.

    • Hi Mary. So sorry to read this sad and painful news about the passing of Keona. I can imagine you’re going through a very difficult period right now, losing such a beloved friend after 16 years. I hope you can find some comfort in the warm memories of Keona. I still think about Mr. Bowie every day.
We cherish our beloved furry friends deep in our hearts. My thoughts are with you, Mary.
