There are certain cat foods humans can eat. I would be very careful about going too far with the blowtorch, Blondie. When cat food is burned, all sorts of chemical compounds are formed. And, Mr. Bowie likes the dessert served in a traditional manner.
Crème brûlée, also known as burnt cream, crema catalana, or Trinity cream is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel. It is normally served at room temperature.
Crème brûlée is usually served in individual ramekins. Discs of caramel may be prepared separately and put on top just before serving, or the caramel may be formed directly on top of the custard, immediately before serving. To do this, sugar is sprinkled onto the custard, then caramelized under a salamander broiler or with a blowtorch. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Have you ever had creme brulee with a layer of dark chocolate at the bottom?
Oh no…!!! I’m going to dream about that…
It’s a good dream!
…or the caramel is first made, then the custard poured on top, it creates a caramel sauce, then the light layer of thin caramel is still added on top … (as for myself I still like to add natural whipped cream to the whole thing, by ‘natural’ I mean whipped at home, not the puffed-out stuff from the supermarket … ).
Careful Mr. Bowie they won’t let you have any…
Whipped cream… Shopping day tomorrow!
That’s a very cautious and skeptical Mr. Bowie!
Lol, no whiskers were singed during the photo shoot, too. That’s a good thing. Mine used to try and get right in the middle.
Hmmmm… that looks yummy!!!!!!!! 😀 xoxo Roxy & Tigerlino 😉
Then the best part is breaking the top!!!!
Oh how delicious! Also how very clever to make it.
Mr. Bowie looks intrigued.
Delicious!!….. Got to con, I mean, GET the human to make me some!! (purrs)…

SOUNDS WONDERFUL…IS THERE A DIABETIC VERSION????
Reblogged this on By the Mighty Mumford and commented:
DOES “TRADITIONAL” MEAN UN-TORCHED????
Yes, be very careful with the blowtorch. We don’t want whiskers brulee.

Ho ho ho, now you’re talking!
Dessert temptation!
Thank you, Bowie’s person, for the four splendid “likes” on “Learning to Blog.” I too love British shorthairs, and have had three — two Blues still with me — so that perhaps is what brought you over to check me out. However, you looked at the wrong blog. I left “Learning to Blog” in the middle of November. All the action (daily so far) is on “The Getting Old Blog.” If you like to read as well as look at pictures of British Blues, please come back for another visit (to the right blog) another time! 🙂
Hi Nina. Welcome on HoB.
Thank you for putting me in the right (blog) direction.
oh my<:)
Is the pillow thief making you desert Mr Bowie? She’s a bit of an enigma isn’t she? 😉 She does have great taste in serving wear though, look it’s Aqua 😀
Yes, the blond pillow thief… She’s a great mystery to all of us…
“Trinity” cream? As in the atomic bomb test Trinity? 😮
Looks delicious!
Very special dessert for a very original cat. My little Cat Boo loves cake, any kind she will find it if the kids drop it, the other cats in the house look down their noses at her as if to say…..you are not a human.
