Evening school. I went back to school yesterday evening and got my first lesson: a brief introduction to digital photography. My homework is: take three photographs of two isolated trees.
My Mother bought these Osmanthus trees 23 years ago and planted them in my yard.
Great perspective and the mono brings out the texture of the bark 🙂
Wonderful shot……and I’m not familiar with that type of tree but they are rather magnificent – a true “dynamic duo”.
Pam
That’s a great photo, you took a such a neat shot!
Hard to imagine how your pictures could be improved . . . .
Thank you, Bugs. Let’s hope my teacher thinks the same way…
Wow, the canopy is WAY up there. How awesome that your mom planted them there for you to enjoy and remember that day. Beautiful photo Herman.
Thank you, Boomdee. These trees mean a lot to me and my sister.
Great shot! The trees have a mystical quality about them.
Great shot, Herman!
Great job, Bowie!
Seeing this photo…….I feel like I’m looking down at two legs that have very strange feet 🙂
Not my legs and feet, that’s for sure…
Great shot…I almost feel like these trees are like the ones in The Two Towers…they are going to start walking and talking…
I heard a strange conversation last night, outside in the garden…
Was it a language you couldn’t understand…? 🙂
Deze foto kan al meedoen…of niet?
Deze foto niet, maar wel de originele die niet bewerkt is… Jammer, want deze Z/W is mooier…
Looks like your homework is off to a very good start.
Let’s hope so… Thank you, David!
Fantastic capture!
Thank you, Joanne!
Great pic! Ellie
Thanks, Ellie!

YOU MEAN…THEY ARE NOT CAT-ALPA TREES????? 🙂
Photo classes ought to be so much fun; though, mom already thinks your photos are superb, but then maybe it is just your usual subject that makes them so wonderpurr. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
You’re probably right. If you would erase Mr. Bowie out of the pictures, the magic would be gone…
Lovely shot. Please keep posting the assignments.
Thank you. I was thinking about doing that on Wednesday evenings, (evening school is on Tuesday).
How beautiful! What a wonderful thing to have such a beautiful legacy from your mother
Great shot! Hope your professor liked it. 🙂
Back in the days, photography class meant spending the day out to take picture, and then spend the evening in the dark room to see how it ended up. Now it’s more like, take a few hundred shots, some of them ought to end up good.
