Stay-at-Home Cat

Camping is unpleasant, dirty and boring. Camping feels like pretending to be homeless. Mr. Bowie don’t like camping. He actually don’t like discomfort, the bugs (the biting or stinging kinds), the temperature drop at night and the sleeping on hard ground, the fear of mountain lions and serial killers. Mr. Bowie also detest wilderness toilets and peeing in the bushes.

Mr. Bowie is a stay-at-home cat. Mr. Bowie is a sleep-on-my-bed cat.

  1. Mr. Bowie is a very smart cat…..why put yourself through the discomfort of camping OUTDOORS when you can camp INDOORS on a fluffy pillow or blanket or even in your Pringles Can Tent??? A most sensible boy is Bowie……..

  2. Amen to all that. Plus drunks, who think being outdoors is simply the cat’s meow and free license to howl. Who EVER happens to be separated by a mere thin wall of nylon is NOT FAR ENOUGH.

    • Had to look this one up, didn’t know what a s’more was. But if there’s a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker, I guess it will be okay… Don’t know about Bowie though…

    • I don’t give my bed up to go camping and the bed doesn’t fit into my car. So we better stay home… Bowie is feeling the same way about my bed (and camping)…

  3. Camping is nature’s way of promoting the Hotel business….Dave Barry

Ha ha, your campground sounds more like a scene from some Eli Roth’s ‘Hostel’, best to stay home. 🙂

    • Ha ha ha, love that quote…

Oh boy, ‘Hostel’, no no no… We don’t watch scary movies. We can’t sleep after watching, seeing or reading something scary. And please, don’t tell us the storyline… Is it about chocolate or Pringles?

      • Ha, you and I both…I wouldn’t sleep for weeks. I just remember seeing the trailer. It looked like it was about some kids backpacking thru Europe, they meet a Dutchman and then their little camping trip turns frightful. I don’t think there’s either chocolate or Pringles involved. A place for neither man nor cute furry beasts.

  4. Dear Mr Bowie..I fully share what you say about camping…Specially your concern about serial killers…And you did not say anything about spiders, snakes and alien abductions, which are all very real concerns!
