      We are enjoying the warm August days. Thank goodness we had no heath waves so far, only a couple of real hot days. Hope you and everyone at the Farm is doing fine.

      • All is well with humans and cats, and running at a fast pace being summer. Wynken has a knot on her skull, not a good sign, but the vet and I are watching it closely to see if it changes size. So far it is not getting bigger, and hopefully it is just from zooming high speed and crashing into something, That is possible.

        Sad news, the big cherry tree where the garden is planted around it is dying, a victim of age, excessive heat and summer droughts. We will try to keep it going as long as we can. The garden will always be there.

          Sorry to read about the knot on Wynken’s skull. Let’s keep our fingers (and paws) crossed that it will work out fine.

          I’m also feeling sad when a tree dies in my garden. A storm knocked a beautiful oak tree down last year and it made me feel sad for days. I replaced it with a new (smaller) one. Let’s hope you can still enjoy your cherry tree for some years…

  15. A happy hello to you and Jimi this morning Herman (morning for me). I adore your photo in all the toe-bean glory that is your sweet Jimi. I’ve missed you two and was anxious about how everything was. Having just read your message to Lavinia, I will admit, I’m still anxious. Oh dear friend, do take care. This summer hasn’t be good here. After unbearable heat, a favourite mountain town suffered devastation during a epic wild fire. 30% of Jasper, Alberta has burn’t to the ground. Residents are just now being bussed in to get a first hand look. On a happy note, Jim and I will be in Europe next spring for a river cruise. Beginning in Amsterdam, ending in Lucern. I wish we were stopping in Belgium, maybe next time. Gentle hug sent your way 💛xK

      So sorry to read about the wild fires. There are also troubles with wild fires in Greece, Portugal and France. We had a lot of rain this summer in Belgium and only 3 or 4 really hot days. But I’m not complaining…

      Oh… that’s a shame your cruise isn’t stopping in Antwerp. It would be fun to meet you and Jim some day. Well, maybe somewhere soon in the future…
