Good News, Bad News

Well, there’s good news and bad news. Thanks to the new antibiotics Mr. Bowie’s ear infection is completely healed. But now that his ear is free from discharging pus and slime and the pain and swelling is disappeared, the doctor discovered a small polyp. This is rather serious because the polyp is growing right through Mr. Bowie’s eardrum very deep in his ear. So it has to be removed by surgery. Most likely this polyp could be the cause of Mr. Bowie’s permanent ear problems. The surgery is scheduled for Friday next week.

On the other hand, my negative feeling was compensated: 3 Spitfire Audio exceptional sample libraries from my Xmas wish list arrived yesterday. Spitfire Audio was formed in 2007 by award winning composers Paul Thomson and Christian Henson. Spitfire produces the finest virtual instruments from the finest musical samples in the world. However, Mr. Bowie was so disappointed with the box size…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

About Today

Another day at the hospital. Mr. Bowie’s ear surgery went well today. The surgeons were looking for an aural polyp but instead they found another chunk of dirt pushing against the eardrum. It took a while but the chunk was successfully removed and a sample is sent to the laboratory for analysis. They also examined Mr. Bowie’s throat and nose but no problems were found.

For the moment, Mr. Bowie is a bit confused and disoriented but I’ll take good care of him.

I want to thank all of you for your comments, support and tuning in on HoB. I also want to thank Renate and the medical staff at Venhei Veterinary Hospital for their care and support.

Mr. Bowie, a bit confused and disoriented.

About Tomorrow

Bummer. This was unexpected. Mr. Bowie is having an exploratory surgery tomorrow morning. There is still something wrong with his inner ear and the veterinary surgeon is unsure what it is. The surgery is done under general anesthesia. Let’s hope they will find a diagnosis for the ailment.
Hang in there, Mr. Bowie. We will be thinking of you. You’ll be back on your paws in no time. You’ll be fine.
