Chairman Part 2

Garden update. A few days ago, on a rainy day and Mr. Bowie’s birthday (he would have turned 12), a crew of technicians and workmen arrived at my home. They brought a lot of heavy duty material to install a construction covering the terrace outside my kitchen.

Lately, we’re having a lot of rainy days and I would love to stay outside having my coffee instead of running inside for shelter. I decided to use the same materials like the carport; dark grey painted posts made of aluminium and transparent polycarbonate panels. Can you spot Jimi in the photograph?

After the construction was finished we had some heavy rain showers but we could enjoy our coffees without running for shelter.

Jimi also likes this new place a lot. Immediately, the chairman picked his favourite spot on the wooden bench. It looks like I have to look for another spot…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Small Box

What to pack in small boxes. Don’t look so upset, angry and disappointed, Jimi. I gave you the nickname Skinny Jimi because you’re so small. This box should be big enough for you. Don’t think big, my friend, you should enjoy the little things in life. One day you may look back and realise they were the big things.

Give a smile to a stranger and you may get one back. Enjoy a small gesture of kindness from someone who loves you. Enjoy dark chocolate. Enjoy your coffee in the morning.

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Another Winter

Walking over ice. Walking in my garden during the winter requires special attention to avoid slipping and falling. Remember Mr. Bowie, in cold temperatures, approach with caution and assume that all wet, dark areas on pavements are slippery and icy. Taking shortcuts through areas where snow and ice removal is not feasible can be hazardous.

In my opinion, ice is only welcome in a cold drink on a hot day. Thankfully I have coffee, dark chocolate, and Mr. Bowie to help me get through another winter.

Message From My Cat #18

Just wondering. Why does the smell of your espresso makes me sleepy? I’d always thought that the coffee helped me stay awake…

Editor’s Note: Dear Mr. Bowie, it’s either you are dehydrated or you have developed a heavy tolerance to caffeine. Caffeine is one of the most commonly-used drugs. I have a similar problem. I have developed a heavy tolerance to chocolate.
