A Day in the Studio

Musical update. Recently, I created a new customised work area in my recording studio. I’m working more ‘in the box’ instead of using my hardware equipment and analog synths. I bought a controller keyboard from Arturia, the KeyLab Essential 61. It gives me seamlessly integration with virtual instruments and DAW software. Right now I’m working on various contemporary orchestral songs using the great libraries from Spitfire Audio and Sound Dust.

Mr. Bowie, the studio technician, likes my new way of working. But when everything is up and running he prefers to take a break in the bathroom.

Mr. Bowie is still on his special weekend antibiotic medication. It looks like he’s alright and the situation is under control. Next month we’re going back to the hospital for a medical check-up.

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Newsflash #29

I’ve had a stressful day at home and it left me feeling a bit emotionally confused. I wish I had good news, but I’m afraid I don’t. This morning, Els, the specialist in the hospital, performed the surgery procedure on Mr. Bowie’s ear with great caution and expertise. Mr. Bowie’s inner ear was completely checked but unfortunately, she found serious problems in the ‘bulla tympanica’, the middle-ear. It looks like this is the real problem of Mr. Bowie’s ear and not a polyp. We’re going to try out an extra dose of a new antibiotic this month but another very risky surgery seems to be unavoidable.

Once again, I want to thank you for all the support and concern. That is very kind of you. Mr. Bowie says “Meow!” Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Good News, Bad News

Well, there’s good news and bad news. Thanks to the new antibiotics Mr. Bowie’s ear infection is completely healed. But now that his ear is free from discharging pus and slime and the pain and swelling is disappeared, the doctor discovered a small polyp. This is rather serious because the polyp is growing right through Mr. Bowie’s eardrum very deep in his ear. So it has to be removed by surgery. Most likely this polyp could be the cause of Mr. Bowie’s permanent ear problems. The surgery is scheduled for Friday next week.

On the other hand, my negative feeling was compensated: 3 Spitfire Audio exceptional sample libraries from my Xmas wish list arrived yesterday. Spitfire Audio was formed in 2007 by award winning composers Paul Thomson and Christian Henson. Spitfire produces the finest virtual instruments from the finest musical samples in the world. However, Mr. Bowie was so disappointed with the box size…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

Another Year Over

Happy New Year! Another year over, and a new one just begun. Glad the tough year’s over. Hope you have a great and wonderful 2018. May all your dreams come true. Thank you for hanging out with us at HoB. Thanks for all your likes, comments and kindness. Love, peace and happiness.

Mr. Bowie says “Happy Meow Year!” Viva la Vida!

Sunday Snowday

Snow! The horror… the horror! This morning, a cold snap resulted in several disruptions on the roads and rail way networks in this part of the world. I had to drive through the snow to see if my Dad was alright. We had lunch together and watched Bear Grylls on tv. I picked up some good advice to get back home safe.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bowie’s wondering what the white stuff is doing in his garden. And why he has to stay inside…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.
