Happy Gotcha Day, Jimi! Today we need to celebrate Jimi’s Gotcha Day. Two years ago he decided to move in. But I also feel the loss of Mr. Bowie very deeply on this day. He will be missed for ever.
Jimi got 2 plates of his favourite food, shrimps. But he was wondering if there was also dessert… Well, the human had a celebration with chocolates.

My second Himalayan was born 2 days before my Yeti died, although I did not get to know him for several weeks.All their little lives are intertwined. When Panther, my little black guy died I was bereft, could not be consoled. 18 months later I was still grieving when a little grey kitten came down the hill behind my house. She stopped and looked up and our eyes met. When she crawled into my lap, I murmured “Panther sent you didn’t he?” Who knows, really. I only know that Willow brought healing to my heart. Kisses to Jimi.
It’s often very strange how cats come in our lives. And just like you, I still keep all the cats of my life deep in my heart. I can cherish so many beautiful and warm memories…

It’s so lovely that Jimi decided to move in with you on that special day two years ago. And of course you still miss Mr Bowie. Every pet is as distinct and special as a human family member. On the reasons to be cheerful theme, I think your garden does look a bit Japanese! 😁
I got so many beautiful and heart warming memories of all my cats. Some days I can feel sad and a little bit down, but remembering all the wonderful moments I had with Mr. Bowie makes me smile again.

I have the same feeling about the day I picked up Louie the ginger cat’s ashes. That was the day the veterinarian technician placed a little fuzzball on the desk. It was of an undetermined species, wild hair, ugly-cute. It walked toward me, little tail erect, making quiet sounds with its mouths: It was a Persian kitten! The tech asked me if I’d like to have this kitten, and, by then charmed with the little rascal, what could I say but “YES!”? So a sad day became one of the happiest of my life, the day I committed to take on a Persian kitten I named Andrew. Later, I had the opportunity to take on his little brother, too, and I called him Douglas. Andy and Dougy became a joy to live with, though I had a lot to learn about kittens before it was over.
All that recalled, Happy Gotcha Day, Jimi! You were one of the lucky cats in this life, and you filled an empty spot in Herman’s heart after he lost Mr. Bowie. That w2as a bog job!

They never really leave us. Our furry children cats are part of who we are forever, and we are better for them being in our lives. We recently adopted a mature cat.
