    • Oh yes he is! He loves to be outside in the garden and enjoys my company.
      Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

    • Oh yes, a typical cat attitude… But afterwards he joined me for vanilla ice cream!
      Have a great weekend, Tim!

  1. Aw Jimi is lovely – and so nonchalant! 😀
Also, he does pick his spots to lie! It doesn’t look particularly safe under that contraption! 😀

  2. Hello lovely Belgium boys. I see Jimi found a shoelace to play with 😀 but then needed a nap. It must have been a rowdy time to miss an eclipse! haha. Blossom has a cotton banana with catnip in it that she’ll fling in the air, then hug and scratch with her back paws motoring. LOL, it’s so fun. We couldn’t see the partial solar eclipse in the west here but eastern Canadians saw it at sunrise. Very cool ! Have an awesome weekend friends 💛 xk

    • Hi Kelly. Jimi got a lot of expensive toys when he moved in 2 years ago, from me and my friends. But he preferred from the beginning to play with shoelaces. I have to place my shoes up high because he likes to remove the laces from the shoes… 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend! Jimi sends his regards!

  3. We couldn’t see the eclipse – rain/clouds I’m afraid but even if we had – I think Teddy would have behaved much as Jimi did……”you made me interrupt my nap for this???”…..he isn’t much of a sky watcher although he does LOVE the sun! Glad you two spent the time during the eclipse TOGETHER in the newly renovated garden……………

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

    • Hi Pam. Jimi is only interested in ice cream while we’re outside enjoying the warm (hot) summer days. I always love to see special things happening in the nature and the universe. But cats know what’s really important in the universe… 😉

Glad you liked this post. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend! Jimi sends his regards!

  4. And I am certain Jimi was singing Willie Nelson’s “Blue skies smiling at me. Nothing but blue skies can I see”. We had nothing but cloudy skies here in Vancouver. Lucky Jimi. Cheers Virginia

    • Hi Virginia. Thanks for the Willie Nelson info. Checking out the song right now…
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend!

  5. Jimi looks completely content in the garden, and happy to ignore the eclipse! (The light changes in some partial eclipses we’ve experienced really have been interesting to see, for us that is, no interest from cats here either.)

    • Hi Leah. I’m always interested to see strange and special things happening in the universe and the nature. But cats don’t mind at all, except having some vanilla ice cream with their human…
Wishing you a great weekend, my friend!

  6. Jimi truly enjoys where he is at, no matter what the mystery of an eclipse is all about, as long as “his master” is mesmerized by nature. As long as you are happy, as he will be. I do enjoy those eclipse moments , they are like miracles. Wishing you a happy weekend and week.

    • Hi Cornelia. I’m so happy Jimi enjoys his time outside in the garden. I guess he needed more time because last year he always was so anxious and afraid of walking around in the garden. Nowadays he’s out there the whole day and he loves my company.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend. I’m getting my J&J vaccine at one o’clock today so I’m one small step closer to a normal world and normal life…

    • Thank you so much, Lavinia!
I got my vaccine yesterday, felt a little nauseous tonight but everything is ok! Glad we’re heading to a better world again…

  7. Yes, total eclipses are something to witness, especially when you can do it from your front yard! Jimi has the right idea, though. Hold out for the ice cream!

    • Hi Christine. Summer’s finally here so that also means having ice cream with my furry friend outside… 🙂
Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday! Jimi sends his regards!

    • Oh… thank you so much, my friends! So glad you liked this post! It was so funny to see Jimi wasn’t interested in the eclipse.
Wishing you a great week. Jimi sends his regards!

    • Hi Julie. Glad you liked this post!
Jimi was interested in the ice cream a few moments later… Guess this is more important for a wise cat… 😉
      Jimi sends his regards!

  8. He was just enjoying the nice spring day. And oh, there’s something going on in the sky? OK, I’ll just keep laying here. He was not impressed. Enjoy your spring in the garden!

  9. Gorgeous! 😀 Thank you for liking our Crustacean Compassion post, please do add yourself to the selfie wall if you haven’t already, and sign their petition. Thank you. 🙂 Love from Miranda x

  10. I LOVE the look on his face.
You are bothering me for a what? A partial solar eclipse?
OK. I will look up for a few seconds just because I love you and I want to make you happy.
And then, I’m gonna take a nap. 🙂

    • Hi Mary. Thank you so much for your kind comment!
I think cats believe that there are more important things in life… A partial solar eclipse… so what! 😉

  11. Herman! I am just reading the NY Times about terrible flooding in western Europe, including Belgium. How are you, Jimi and your friends and family. I feel as if our world grows smaller as we struggle with climate issues… We are thinking of you dear Herman. Christine and Bagheera

    • Hi Christine. Thank you so much for your concern!
I’m safe because I live in a higher area in the center of Belgium, the eastern and southern part is the affected area. The dead toll rises to six but there are still people missing. Some houses were just swept away by devastating floods, I have never seen this in my life in this part of the world. We had large amounts of rainfall; so much rainfall as normally in 2 months.
Thank you very much, my dear friend! Jimi sends his regards!

  12. Herman, I came here to check on you, but I see Christine has already asked the important question. Glad you are safe. There’s so much devastation with the weather lately…I will keep your country and all affected by the flooding in my prayers.

    • Hi Mary. Thank you so much for your kind comment and concern!
This morning it stopped raining, finally. There are still a lot of people missing and many houses are collapsed. I never saw something like this in my entire life.

Wishing you a great weekend, my friend!

  13. I hope and wish you are in safe, when I heard the news I thought of you. I am glad you aare fine. I am so sad about this flood, im prayers for your country and people. Love, nia

    • Hi Nia. Thank you so much for your kind comment and concern!
I’m safe because I live in a higher and more open area of Belgium. We also had heavy rainfall with minor floods but it wasn’t so bad like in the southern and eastern part of Belgium. 27 people are dead so far but there are still 100+ people missing…

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

      • Dear Herman, I am glad to hear you, this is so tragic. So sad. We had too in the Black Sea region. The climate and the rains are not as before… Thank you, be in safe, Love, nia

  14. Dear Herman, you haven’t posted and now there are great floods in some parts of your world. I hope you are all ok and everything is good with you!

    • Thank you so much for your kind comment and concern! I was going through a minor difficult periode lately, with some unexpected problems so I didn’t feel like posting on the blog. But seeing the floods in our country made me realise I don’t have a reason to start complaining about my personal situation.
I’m safe because I’m in a higher area. We had some minor water problems but no real damage, thank goodness. The dead toll is rather high for our small country; 31 people dead and 100+ people still missing…

Wishing you a great week ahead! I’ll post new stuff asap!
