Real Happiness

Happiness is only real when we share (food). I love shrimp croquettes a lot, they are simultaneously crispy and soft. I prefer to eat them with French fries. Jimi is wild about shrimps too, it’s his favourite human food. So while I was having lunch, he was patiently waiting for his portion… And afterwards we had a delicious dessert…

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

    • Hi Lavinia. Jimi is always very polite and waits very patiently. But he loves shrimps very, very much. Just like me…
Jimi sends his regards! Wishing you a wonderful day, my friend!

  1. Lovely you two boys are sharing a meal……Teddy doesn’t eat ANY human food….EXCEPT for shrimp! He loves them – whenever I’m making anything with shrimp I must cut up two or three for him. Did your dessert have any touches of chocolate by any chance???? Not for Jimi of course but his Dad….. 🙂

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

    • Hi Pam. Mr. Bowie didn’t eat human food but Jimi likes almost everything I like to eat. Normally he doesn’t jump on the table but when there’s shrimps on the menu, well, that’s a different ball game!
We had raspberry yoghurt for dessert. Jimi loved it too… 😉

  2. Sounds like a fabulous lunch hook up! Our little cat Petals sits on a chair beside me at dinner and it kinda bugs Jim 😏 but we persist. I push my chair out when he’s done so she can be in my lap. It’s our little routine. She doesn’t get on the table though, that would freak him right out, LOL ! I love that photo ! Petals says hello and paws in da air!! ❤️🐾 xK

    • Hi Kelly. Normally Jimi doesn’t jump on the table while I’m having lunch or dinner. But when there’s shrimps on the menu, well, that’s a different story! Shrimps are his favourite human food. Mr. Bowie didn’t like human food at all.
But Jimi never interrupts me or tries to steal some food. He just sits patiently on the table. Such a sweet boy!
Jimi sends his regards to Petals!

  3. My Mr. Ferguson was a prince among cats, but he could not resist Parmesan cheese. It was the one thing that would lure him to jump up on the table and push his face right into the serving dish. On one occasion he nudged the cheese mouli toward my boyfriend, clearly saying “grate me some Parmesan, human.” The rest of the time his manners were impeccable. He loved yogurt, but would wait for me to finish and then clean the dish.

    • I can’t complain about Jimi’s table manners. He never interrupts me or tries to steal my food. He just waits very patiently for his portion. Normally he doesn’t jump on the table, except when there’s shrimps on the menu…
Jimi also loves yoghurt, no matter what flavour I buy, he loves them all.

  4. Lovely ” Lunch for Two”. Jimi, is really very well behaved, yet his eyes are totally focused on this shrimp plate. Moshu is not interested in any human food at ALL, not even salmon or vanilla ice cream, while me prior two male cats were crazy about everything, when I used to bake, they would be begging to lick of the bowl with the dough, and that bowl looked like being already washed. Happy lunchtimes to you both.

    • Hi Cornelia. That’s a funny story about the cat licking the bowl with the dough… Jones, our cat before Mr. Bowie was also a cat who ate just about everything. Mr. Bowie on the other hand never asked for human food.

    • Oh yes it was. And good news, today I bought fresh shrimps for tomorrow! I’m sure Jimi will join me for lunch together… 😉

    • Glad you liked the photograph! I love the look in his eyes, staring at the food…
Mr. Bowie didn’t like human food. But Jimi loves it a lot…

    • So true! And sharing with a furry friend is even more fun…

    • Thank you so much, my dear friend! We’re having warm days right now and Jimi still enjoys his days outside in the garden, no white Christmas in this part of the world.

  5. Shrimp croquettes sound nice. Your fries are really French? (LOL) Sometimes, we call our fries french, though most of the time, we just call them “Fries.” The potatoes to make the fries are from Idaho.

Stay well, stay warm, stay safe.

    • Hi David. We call them ‘fries’, no one calls them French because studies showed they where a Belgian invention centuries ago… 😉

Stay safe and healthy, my friend!

PS: we’re having a homemade shrimp salade at noon… 🙂

      • Belgian fries, Belgian chocolate, Belgian waffles … I see where this is going. French press coffee is really Belgian press coffee, LOL. 🙂 Have a great Christmas week!

        • Hahaha… well, as you already seems to know, Belgians are real food connoisseurs! 😉
