Sunshine Boy

Remembering Mr. Bowie. Given the traumatic nature of 9/11, it’s not surprising that this event, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, affects a lot people every year, all over the world. For me there’s also an additional heavy feeling. Today, a year ago, Mr. Bowie passed away peacefully after fighting an aggressive blood cancer and kidney problems.

I am honoured and privileged to have spent 10 years of my life knowing and having Bowie as my beloved friend. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about him.

I know you’re listening out there, somewhere. Forever in my heart, my sweet sunshine boy.

  1. A very sweet post for Mr. B. Each and every one of our furry family members is special even when they are no longer physically with us. 💓 And we never forget them!

  2. Arms around you and your broken heart Herman. I like to think they are still near when they pass away. We sometimes think Blossom might be our dog Buddy since she’s not like a typical cat at all. Even when life goes on and another pet finds their way into our hearts, they’ll stay with us forever. Miss you Mr Bowie 🥰😍 xK

  3. I could never ever forget beautiful Mr. Bowie. I know nobody misses him more than you do – you were best friends and companions for ten years when suddenly you lost him. I know he is with you every minute in spirit but I also know – because I feel it with Sammy – that you’d give just about anything to have his warm fur to touch. I’m sending you hugs of understanding and friendship. Jimi will be a comfort for you today.

    Love, Pam (and Teddy) ❤

  4. Dierenliefde is een wonder
    deze vriendschap was bijzonder
    je was een trouwe kameraad
    die zijn sporen achterlaat
    ❤ Bowie ❤

  5. I lost my Mr. Ferguson a little over a year ago too, and my last picture of him was a sunbeam photo as well. They are such little perfect sun gods.

I know Mr. Bowie is out there and in the sunbeams when they warm you.

  6. Our Buddy Budd left us this year and we remember him every day. We remember them all and that is the way it should be. The heart remains connected and we believe that we will all meet again

  7. sending loves and hugs to you Herman; please remember, just because you can’t “see”
him, doesn’t mean he isn’t “here”. His spirit walks along side you, his memory lives on in
    your heart ♥♥♥♥♥

  8. I recently lost a 10-year old cat to kidney failure. I’ve lost so many now…it happens over 40 years, but it always devastates me. They all stay in my heart, though. It’s getting crowded now. Your Bowie was lovely.

  9. Oh Bless! Mr Bowie was such a very special boy and very much loved. They are still with us in spirit, but more so on certain days like this day. Sending hugs and sunbeams.
