The Platform Cat

Me: “How is the new paint project going?” Mr. Bowie: “Right on track! I’m on top of it while you were having coffee and chocolates.”

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

  1. You might have to leave those supports for Mr. Bowie. They make a perfect kitty platform.

      • We have a lot of permanent things around that were meant to be temporary; however, the cats have so much fun with them we didn’t dare remove them. One reason I took the Catmas tree down right after Catmas was because if I would have left it up much longer, it would have had to become permanent. The kitties were not happy that I took it out. They still play on it some out side, but not like when it was inside.

        • Oh yes, I remember the Catmas tree. Mr. Bowie also likes the blankets over the furniture to protect them from paint and glue drops. He loves to play hide and seek, not joking…
Maybe it’s not a bad idea to keep one (or two) support(s) up there…

          • We have “cat magnet” blankets on the furniture and bed for the kitties. The blankets are a fake wool on one side and have a finer, plush velvet-like feel on the other side. Some of them came with stuffed sheep and a zebra, which the kitties like to play with, also.

            • After the painters are gone some of the furniture will be moved, replaced or changed by new stuff. Mr. Bowie has to approve, of course…
I’m sure your kitties living in cat paradise!

  2. isn’t it great to have a helper on a project? Mr. Bowie is certainly doing a good job – the work is in good paws which allows you to enjoy that coffee and chocolates without worry.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

    • Dat platform is zijn lievelingsplaats geworden. Hij zit daar heel graag! Daarstraks is hij zelfs even bij de schilder komen zitten.
Gisteren was ik wel met mijn hoofd tegen dat platform gelopen…

  3. Every big job needs a really good supervisor. Later, the supervisor needs a nap and cat treats. Good luck with the project! Have a good weekend too.

  4. Clever Mr. Bowie. On top of the job. AWAY from the paint. My cat Basil decided to escape our home and help the painters next door. He returned covered in oil based white paint. It was a messy job getting the paint off his fur. Years later I discovered that baby oil gets paint off of humans AND cats quickly and safely.

    • Hi Virginia. Thank you so much for the tip about using baby oil to remove paint. I had the same problems years ago with Mr. Bowie and had to go to the vet to solve the problem. They even had to shave away his fur…
Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

    • Thank you for your kind comment! Mr. Bowie’s having a great time up there and sends his regards!
