  1. We’ve gone down the proverbial rabbit hole over on our side of the Big Pond. We are all living in interesting times, no matter where we are.

Wishing you and Mr. Bowie and wonderful, treat-filled day! Find the good things where you can. 🙂

    • With your President in our neighbourhood we definitely need a lot of good things, like cat treats, chocolate an very strong espressos! 😉

PS: Just bought new catnip plants for our furry friend!

  2. Clever sign. Although, Donald Duck might take offense. One could say Trump is goofy, but then another Disney character will be offended.

    • Oh no…!! We have to keep the Disney character in mind for sure. So sorry for this mistake and thanks for reminding us, the dumb and liberal Europeans… 😉

      • You just can’t do anything without offending someone or another these days. Coffee, chocolate and catnip. You need lots of coffee, chocolate and catnip. I wouldn’t say dumb and liberal — probably more like insensitive and liberal. But then again, when we lived in Spain, a liberal was a liberal, not a progressive (progressives are mislabelled as liberals here). But things could have changed.

        • You are so right, Tim. The same thing seems to be happening in this part of the world; you just can’t do anything without offending someone else. Thank goodness I can compensate this fact with espresso, chocolate and treats for Mr. Bowie!

          • You could do a POP (perpetually offended people) song and call it “Offending You, Offending Me” the lyrics could go something like this:

            “Offending you, Offending me
            Offending you, Offending me
Let’s get together, start the insults
            Offending you, Offending me, baby
            Offending you, Offending me
Baby, know I’m never gonna stop
Offending you, Offending me, oh baby…”

            • I’m currently working on a new song. But I still have to write the lyrics but hey, wait a minute… Your POP song words seems to fit in perfectly! 🙂

    • Well, guess Paris isn’t a Hellhole… but aren’t you guys a ‘pet transport services’ company? Feel free to pick up this dude! 😉

  3. Do not have a bad hair day (you know what I mean), Herman. Catnip, chocolate and espresso will help. They say best way to chase off the devil is to laugh at him, so it looks like someone has made a good start.

    • We’re having vanilla ice cream right now, outside in the garden and Mr. Bowie is checking out the new catnip plants… So let’s not worry about what’s happing in Brussels at this moment…

    • I just got my second portion of ice cream. Well ok, maybe it’s not stronger than chocolate but it’s delicious… Right, Mr. Bowie?

  4. How we wish the Russians or some other country dumb enough to like this idiot would keep him. Mom says he isn’t going to make America great but rather break it. Be happy he is only here for a short time. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    • Thank goodness he’s leaving the building tomorrow! Hellhole will be a better and safer place when he’s gone… 😉

  5. You are – as always – right on the mark! Particularly when it comes to surviving these days with the help of ice cream, chocolate and espresso (not necessarily in that order) with a healthy dose of CATNIP! I’m sure Mr. Bowie is happy to see THAT arriving in “his” garden!

    Pam

  6. At least someone has a good sense of humour. It’s all you can do sometimes – laugh about it.
Or – eat ice cream in the garden with the ever-awesome Mr Bowie! 🙂

  7. At least Mr. Bowie is having a good day! While I regret we couldn’t keep him here instead of unleashing him on official visits to our friends abroad, it is kind of nice not having the outrageous tweet of the day. It is impossible not to compare his public utterances to the eloquent, more professorial remarks of President Obama and sigh. Obama was president one could admire for his squeaky clean presidency and his squeaky clean family. Flawless, of course not, but he had a dignity that the current guy totally lacks. While Hillary Clinton attracted flies, she at least understood that the Presidency wasn’t for amateurs. That said, perhaps you need to bring out a nice single malt Scotch or a little brandy to survive the presidential visit…! I can’t hold my breath for four years, if he lasts that long, but I do pinch my nose to stave off the stench of corruption till it catches up with him!

    • Thank goodness he’s leaving our country tomorrow. Can’t imagine how it’s like to live with that dude 4 years long… Good luck, my friend! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

      • Scarier yet is Pence, the vice president, who is more familiar with how things work in washington and who is an extreme right wing ideologue. Were Trump to be impeached and forced out of office, Pence would be next in line.

  8. Well that’s perfectly understandable. It feels like we are living in a quagmire here, and most of us don’t want him either. 😦 There is not enough chocolate……….

  9. Hope it was a very brief visit! Anyway, I’m sure it won’t spoil Mr Bowie’s day. Cats have a great way of bringing everything into perspective – all they need is love … and some treats!

    • Thank goodness he’s leaving our country today! Meanwhile I’ll spoil myself with espressos and chocolate… and treats for Mr. Bowie!

    • Petting Mr. Bowie right now! And getting ready for my first espresso this morning, outside and enjoying the warm sunshine…
The scary man will leave our country later today… Please put him away in a safe place! 😉

  10. I am sorry that after all these years of following you, I am quite disappointed you posted something political. When political views are posted you tend to lose fans and followers.

    • Hi Susan. I’m sorry if you’re offended by this post. People hold lots of different views. I believe everyone’s opinion deserves equal respect. We are never all going to agree, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be respectful. Humor is a great way to hook readers, no matter the subject.

    • As I mentioned in a previous post, I can’t sympathise for a man who’s insulting presidential candidates, journalists, women, Latinos, Mexicans, parents of a fallen soldier, calling criticism false and ‘fake news’, etc… That’s not a President worthy of its name.

But hey, it’s a free world and I respect everyones thoughts, religion and opinions.

  11. I feel like apologizing to the rest of the world forever that the US elected him, even through the chicanery of the Electoral College and outside manipulation. And we are so scared over here. Just so, so scared.

    • It is still hard to believe what happened. But keep in mind, in the end love will be what saves us all…
