Newsflash #13

Little sick boy. This evening, I rushed to Venhei, a Veterinary Hospital. An occasional episode of vomiting is normal in most cats, but Mr. Bowie kept vomiting for several hours. Mr. Bowie got a medical check-up by Sarah, another experienced and brilliant vet working at Venhei. Our little sick boy needed medicines to fight the nausea and his fever. The problem was probably caused by eating something strange in the garden, a bug or another insect. I got to keep an eye on the patient for the next 24 hours. Get well soon, Mr. Bowie!

Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.

  1. Poor My. Bowie, and how wise of you to get him help right away. Hope he feels better very soon.

  2. So sorry Mr. Bowie is sick. Diavolo and I send prayers, purrs and good wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully, he’ll leave those yucky bugs alone.

  3. Sweet Mr. Bowie we are not going to click the “like” button this time…we certainly don’t like that you are not feeling well. Lots hugs, nose kisses, purrs and prayers for you to be all well very soon.

  4. On no Mr Bowie! We ‘like’ you- actually, we LOVE you and hope you feel better quickly…there is nothing worse for the human guardians than sick kitties- we feel very helpless. Happily, Sarah was ready to assist you. Please keep up posted on how you are doing- Herman too..

  5. Mr. Bowie – The bug you ate was probably not ripe. It is hard to tell which are and which are not, particularly in the spring. We recommend that you not eat any of them. Hope you are better soon. Snoops and Kommando Kitty

  6. Mr. Bowie, get well soon! I feel so sorry you have eaten something creepy 😦
You are so lucky that you have really good hospital there.

  7. Oh noooo! I do hope he recovers soon Herman. It’s horribly worrying when they’re poorly and you just don’t know why 😦 I must admit that I am waiting for the day that Luna actually catches and tries to eat one of the bees or wasps she’s forever chasing. I know it won’t go down well either but she doesn’t listen to me and will probably have to learn the hard way! I also had to recently take a neighbour to task about the evil blue slug pellets he’d casually chucked around the communal gardens which are toxic to cats! Get better soon Mr Bowie xxx

    • I can see your comment, my dear friend! WP was behaving kinda weird last night. I had to recover more comments from the spam folder…
Thank you so much for your kind words!

  10. Herman I do hope and pray that Mr. Bowie is “right as rain” now after help from his vet. What looks yummy to eat sometimes isn’t ! Please let us know if he’s alright now – we send healing purrs and prayers (and a healthy dose of love too!).

  11. Poor sick baby. I hope Mr. Bowie is feeling better today under your care. Please give him a few chin skritches and love from his #1 fan across the ocean.

  12. Oh Mr. Bowie, we are so sorry to hear that you had to go see the Doctor Lady. However, we know you are in good hands and everyone will work to make you feel better. We also know that your dad is probably going crazy with worry and not even eating his chocolate. Our mom gets that way if we get sick. It’s good our humans are watching out for us. Please get better quickly and be careful what you put in your mouth. We love you!
    Stereo purrs………..Hemingway and Steinbeck

  13. Get well fast, Mr. Bowie. You have to be careful when out in the garden – especially when the growing season begins. Herman will stay up 24/7 until you’re back to normal, guaranteed. 🙂

  14. Poor Mr. Bowie (and poor Herman). Cloud and the girls send purrs. Ever since a friend’s cat gt really sick from eating a cricket I have been careful about bugs but it’s hard. Both the cats and bugs are faster than humans. We are happy you have a good vet practice to go to and how Mr. Bowie is better very soon.

  15. It’s so horrible when our cats are getting sick like that, I suffer each time, because they can’t speak to us in our language. Mr.Bowie is a very strong being, so he will conquer this episode, Moshu, my cat and I wish him well.

  16. My little friend, I’m sorry you were ill. It’s very scary indeed. But I’ve peeked ahead to see you’re doing well and all is right in my world again. Continued recovery sweetheart xo K
