Breaking news! Upgrading my studio monitors already had a serious impact. An English rock band, formed in Liverpool, arrived in my studio today. I was very happy about the way in which the agreement with the band came about. However, I was a bit amazed when they arrived in a weird and wonderful vehicle.
Thank goodness I got by with a little help from my friend and famous studio technician, Mr. Bowie. And our friends are all on board and the band begins to play… It’s easy. All you need is love.
Enjoy this beautiful day, my friends, wherever you are. Peace, love and understanding.
I see Mr. Bowie knows his Legos. Legos are one of the greatest inventions of all times, and the Yellow Submarine is super cool, and a great inspiration for you and Mr Bowie. Makes me want to upgrade my speakers and see what legos come of it 😉 I love the photos!
Thank you, Tim!
Actually, it was the first time ever I bought a Lego box for myself. But this one was hard to resist… It is really impressive how all the 550 pieces fit together and turn into the iconic Yellow Submarine.
The set was put forward to the idea’s section of Lego’s website by Beatles fan and singer-songwriter Kevin Szeto – before it received the necessary 10,000 votes to go into production.
I would think 10,000 votes was easy to get.
I guess so, they would got my vote immediately if I had heard of this idea.
I would have voted for it too. I’ve never bought legos for myself, but I bought lots of them for our daughter, and helped put them together. I also used to get them for our nephews until they went the way of soccer 24/7.
Exactly the same story overhere… This was my first box but years ago I gave a lot of birthday-Lego boxes to my nephews too.
American kids going soccer?!? Sounds very European to me… 😉
Soccer is gaining in popularity here. One nephew is a very good soccer player.
Oh, the Beatles, I was young and full of life and I loved Ringo. Thank you for digging up so many memories. And Mr. Bowie is as handsome as always.
Glad you like the post, thank you! Go ahead and play some Beatles songs today…
LOVE, LOVE LOVE!
All together now… All together now!
Now we are talking about the real stuff. I am so glad you broke the News, this new box is the real fun for Mr. Bowie. Happy times and all we need is LOVE.
Oh yes, love is all we need. Wishing you a marvellous weekend, Cornelia!
The Yellow Submarine and its crew is a wonderful memory, Herman and Mr. Bowie! Glad the new studio is coming along, and you and Mr. Bowie are in business!
A peaceful evening to both of you, my friends. And all the best from Mr. Nano and the cat crew here, too! 🙂
Thank you so much, Lavinia! We’re having a great time right now. Everything looks and sounds amazing.
Wishing you a marvellous weekend and Mr. Bowie says “Hello” to Mr. Nano and the cat crew out there!
All you need is love, love .. and a bigger box! 😄
Haha… So true, Mr. Bowie fully agrees with you, Julie!
Oh, classic Beatles, playing right now! Was Mr Bowie finding the missing piece for you?
Always love the Beatles songs on the radio or on iTunes.
Actually, I had to keep an eye on Mr. Bowie! He loved playing with all these little pieces, especially the Beatle figures!
I can relate to that … I have to do jigsaws on my IPad – otherwise Mischa steals the pieces off the board!
Haha… I can picture the scene…!!
Totally cool Legos kit…..love it and you boys did a fine job assembling it. I have a ton of wonderful memories of “those days”……Yellow Submarine was an incredibly fun song too but then the Beatles were incredible period. Have a happy and peace-filled day. Love truly is all we need (and maybe some chocolate!).
Pam
Thank you, Pam! And thank you for saying the magic word… chocolate!
Have a wonderful weekend!
You boys have a great weekend too…..
Put a smile on my face! There is little about that time I want to remember – assassinations, riots, anti-war demonstrations, the Vietnam War – but the Beatles…! Man, now I have the song going through my head! The Blue Meanies haven’t a chance. The Beatles are coming in their Yellow Submarine! (Nice box, too, for Bowie!)
Hi Weggieboy! Glad you liked the post. The Beatles always make me feel good. I also love the solo projects of Paul McCartney and John Lennon. ‘Band on the Run’ from Paul McCartney and Wings is one of my favourite albums of all time.
Have a nice day with Beatles music in the background…
haha Excellent! I love all the song references. 🙂
And how good that Mr Bowie ‘helped’ you. My dog Little Monkey only eats things like this!
Glad you liked the post, my friend!
I had to rescue one Beatle from the mouth of Mr. Bowie, not joking! 🙂
Have a nice weekend!
Oh I can well believe it!! 🙂
Seems whatever we are interested in is irresistible to our pets! 🙂
Thank goodness Mr. Bowie doesn’t like my chocolate…!! 🙂
Oh that would be a tragedy! 🙂
Wonderful song, wonderful group, wonderful cat! I’m old(er) so I was around when they first came across the pond, but they didn’t come in a yellow submarine. That came later.
Seriously?!? They didn’t arrive in a Yellow Submarine…?? Is this for real…?? 😉
Now you know I would never kid you about a serious subject like yellow submarines.
That has to be my favorite Lego ever. I think I will tell my nephew he owes me one from all those childhood gifts. I am glad you indulged your inner child with a toy, it’s supposed to improve creativity. I am just curious if Mr. Bowie found a way to squeeze into the box, he seemed to be trying.
It took me hours to finish the job but I enjoyed every minute of it. Mr. Bowie kept me company and was helping me to find the right pieces… 😉
You are so right, your nephew should buy you a Yellow Submarine gift for Christmas or Santa Claus…
In the end Mr. Bowie found out the Lego box was not big enough and he went back to the lager KH 310 boxes… 😉

Wishing you a fantastic weekend. Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”
Fantastic! I have been looking for a yellow submarine to take me away from all the madness…and everyone of us has all we need…in our yellow submarine…
I would be great if we could do that once in a while…
Excellent job! The best decoration for a studio. I love the picture of Mr. Bowie checking the box. His administrative skills keep your studio going, Herman.
Thank you, Inese! When I saw the announcement of the release of this Lego box I knew immediately I had to buy this one. I guess you will find the Yellow Submarine in a lot of studio’s and music stores in the near future.
Thank goodness Mr. Bowie helped me out putting it all together! 😉
I am sure that the Yellow Submarine will eventually make it to the music stores and studios, but you and Mr. Bowie are among those who started the trend 🙂 Good thinking, and a great teamwork 🙂
Thank you! I love to be an early adopter… 😉
Neat Lego!!! Too bad the box wasn’t bigger for Mr. Bowie!
…or the submarine was bigger: Mr. Bowie could join the Beatles in the cockpit! 😉
Super!!!! Nostalgie <3…
En het is ook heel decoratief hier in de studio. Nu de muziek nog… 😉
What a delight to wake up to…thank you for putting a smile on my face.
Glad you liked this post. Thanks for your nice comment. Much appreciated!
It’s Mr. Bowie to the rescue 🙂
We had in Mr. Bowie a very skilled and professionally competent addition to this project.
That is so cute Herman! It’s nice to have a helping paw. 🙂
Thank you, Laura. If Mr. Bowie hadn’t have been here, I don’t think I would have managed.
Smiles
Love this!!!
Thank you, Kelley! Glad you liked this post.
😉
Welcome on HoB. Thank you for visiting and following the blog. Much appreciated!
I look forward to it!!! Be sure to follow me if you like what you see!
Thanks! Okay, I’ll keep an eye on your blog.
Thank you Herman…;)
I’d imagine with your technician has got everything in place now…..full speed ahead Mr Bowie, full speed ahead. xoK
Feel free to join us for the ride, my dear Boomdee! But don’t forget your diving glasses…
I believe that Mr. Bowie would have been happier with a slightly larger box. 🙂
…or maybe a bigger submarine so he could join the Beatles for a dive! 😉
😊🚤⛵️
Thank you! Welcome on HoB!
Mr. Bowie is a cat with endless talents!
Thank goodness he let me move into his house…
Have a nice weekend, Laura! Mr. Bowie says “Meow!”
hehehe! I’m glad he did Herman. 🙂
I got the Beatles Lego kit for Christmas!!! It’s awesome! 😀
Oh yes it is! I enjoyed every minute making it. It was my first Lego box ever.
Have fun!
