  1. That s a beautiful photo of one of my favorite scenes, a country road disappearing around the bend. Thank you, my friend!

We have had an unusually warm autumn with no frost yet. Tomatoes are still coming in from the garden, and the grass is emerald green. No spectacular colors here like we had in New England, but the trees slowly turn yellow and brown, and leaves slip away with the daylight hours. The cats and crew of Salmon Brook Farms wish you and Mr. Bowie a wonderful autumn season, filled with cat treats, dark chocolate and espresso. 🙂

    • Thank you, Lavinia! Glad you liked this snapshot. We had our first frost 2 nights ago. I’ll admit you can spot a lot of beautiful colours out there but I prefer the fresh green colour of spring…
Mr. Bowie sends his regards and purrs to the cats and crew of Salmon Brook Farms! But he says it’s time right now for cat treats and dark chocolate for the human… 😉

  2. Beautiful color…..our lawn is covered with color….I prefer “Spring Green” as a color but we have to put up with this rainbow of color, then bare trees, then snow covered, before we’ll arrive at my favorite destination!

  3. I think it’s a beautiful image, Herman, without fall there won’t be spring. This early morning here in California we had a massive thunder and lightening As we never experienced anything like that and Moshu needed to cuddle up so close with me, holding on tight to my arms she was really frightened.

    • So true, without fall no spring!
Mr. Bowie enjoys thunder and lightning storms. He always sits in front of the window to watch the lightning…

    • Ik geeft toe dat het wel mooi is maar… ik geniet meer van het frisse groen in de lente. Ik krijg toch steeds een naar gevoel dat de winter en de donkere, koude dagen op komst zijn…

  4. The colours are sublime Herman. Do you ever walk Mr Bowie on a leash outside the garden? I’m thinking of getting Blossum a leash…..what do you think. Wouldn’t it be nice to stroll along this lane with you best fur friends? xo B

    • That would be nice, Boomdee, if Blossum doesn’t mind wearing a leash… Mr. Bowie loved walking outside on a leash before the garden had a cat-friendly fence. Nowadays he stays inside the garden.

  5. How did I miss this one? So beautiful and this is where you get to walk and build up an appetite for coffee and chocolate? How fortunate.
