Belgium is now also officially in heat wave. The heatwave is expected to last several days and has already seen temperatures rise as high as 35 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, we enjoyed the hottest day of the year. It’s too hot to work in the recording studio so we have enough water and beverages ready, and reserve our place to relax in the shade.
Mr. Bowie joined me this morning at 7 o’clock to read the newspaper. What a nice place to enjoy the morning sun, my friend. I love the quiet of the morning, the peaceful calm of a day starting up. Oh did I mention the espresso and dark chocolate?

Your weather sounds like ourweather Herman. Only the early mornings are nice and cool. I am having coffee by my open window as I type, outdoors is soaking wet from condensed humidity and I don’t have a nice patio area like you do. However if I get up early enough I get to watch the bats in my neighbor’s attic come home to sleep. The cats like wayching them too.
We can spot bats late in the evening. Mr. Bowie keeps an eye on them too but they are way too fast to catch…
Oh yes, I really enjoy these moments early in the morning…
Time for some frozen yoghurt, Mr. Bowie? 🙂

In our weather forecast was told that very hot air is coming from Morocco, but not to us. So you got it, 35° is too much for working, it is too much for everything. Mr. Bowie is nicely glowing in the morning sun, he has some gold in his fur.
Mr. Bowie also got a heart of gold… 🙂

It’s the same here in my part of the Eastern US. Kind of like wearing a sock for two days and then sticking your head in it. Let’s just all get through this, Mr. Bowie.

Ice cream, espresso and chocolate smoothies are good for beating the heat. You can make Mr. Bowie a Cataccino with lots of cream. I don’t know if you heard about it, but apparently Starbucks is offering “Pupaccinos” for people’s dogs — a cup of whipped cream from what I heard.
We should sue Starbucks for discriminating cats…!! How rude…

Dark chocolate at 7 a.m.? Our mom sure likes the sound of that. We have the H-O-T-S again here, and we are so over it. Mr. Bowie likes to sleep on the floor (inside the house) in the evening and at night when it’s so hot. I tried it myself but it was too hard for me…
