Last Friday

Summer is here to stay. What an upbeat mood I’m in today! Last Friday was the warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures near 34 degrees Celsius (93 Fahrenheit). It was a perfect day for ice cream and banana milkshake. Mr. Bowie looked a bit upset because he got purified water instead of catnip ice cream.

      • I am having a good one, thanks. Just mowed the grass and then there is other yard work to do. All out among the growing veggies, my favorite thing! 🙂

        • As I told you before, this is my favourite time of the year! I love being outside on these warm and sunny days…

    • The Belgian Cat Army should continually bombard me with hard rock music for several days, including Van Halen’s hit song Panama, and “The Howard Stern Show” for several days… 😉

    • I going to try out the salmon catnip idea for Mr. Bowie…
A chocolate milkshake…?? Oh yes, I’m going to get me one right now! 🙂

  1. Purrhaps floating a crushed catnip leaf in his water would have given him a “sense” of an exotic drink on a hot day! As for banana milkshakes – that sounds DIVINE….hmm…wonder how that would be with a little chocolate mixed in? Chocolate covered bananas are yummy……..I may have to experiment!

    • Hey Pam, I’m going try out the catnip leaf in the water. Great idea! Wonder if Mr. Bowie’s going to love it…
I like the combination of pine apple and bananas in a milkshake. And chocolate covered bananas… count me in! 🙂

  2. Hello friends, I hope you’re staying cool. Yikes, that’s very warm. Thank goodness for ice-cream. I think your kitty bowl is very posh Mr Bowie!

    • Temperatures are dropping, only 20 degrees Celsius from tomorrow. But that’s still warm enough for ice cream! 😉

    • Thank you!
Oh yes, we both love the summer big time…!! And the ice cream comes in very handy. 😉

  3. I never get tired of seeing Mr. Bowie’s beautiful little face. It’s pretty early for such hot weather, isn’t it? No wonder you’re having banana and ice cream milkshakes!

  4. So glad you got some summery weather. My favorite ice cream treat is a half milk shake with a half sundae floating like an island in it. The local place calls it an avalanche. I get a coffee milk shake with a chocolate sundae combo. Maybe I should ask for some banana, too. If they make green tea ice cream, they ought to be able to do catnip ice cream for Mr. Bowie. Filtered water is very refreshing but not really a treat. I can see why he has that “What!!?” look.

    • Oh no…!! The thought of this combination makes my mouth water! I should try this out… Thank you, Angela.

PS: Mr. Bowie got extra treats afterwards…
