  1. Poppies for remembrance too. When I was young veterans still gave out paper poppies on what used to be Armistice day. The small things do indeed count. Lovely flower, lovely photo.

      In Belgium, poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime (WW 1) in Flanders.

  2. The little things are really the big things, and poppies are beautiful. Just there by the side of the street, and you stopped to admire it. That’s a big thing for sure.

  3. Yes, it is often the small things one comes upon that makes one’s day. Mr. Bowie says finding a catnip plant in bloom makes his day. 🙂 The Cats of Salmon Brook Farms send their warmest regards to the Mr. Bowie, the Great Grey Hunter.
