Route 67

Something in the air. The best things in life are unexpected. Be prepared for the unexpected. I was walking home on Route 67, a promenade through a natural area, when a goose flew over my head. There was no time to change lenses to capture this decisive moment. Thank goodness for Lightroom.

    • Oh yes… one of my favourite things! Like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. And bright copper kettles and warm wooden mittens. Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings. These are a few of my favourite things… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. That was great for you to be there just at the right time to get those awesome pictures. It looks very much like what we call Canadian geese here. Guess they are cousins or something.

  2. Wonderful shots of a graceful, big bird. I, too, wonder what happened to the left wing’s feather on the beautiful goose. Glad you were there, Herman, with your camera.

  3. Lovely shots Herman. I wondered how you happened to have your camera, then I read your answer to Joke. Learning Dutch is a side benefit of following your blog, thank you. Glad your nature walk was a success.

    • Thank you, Angela! Much appreciated that you take your time to translate the Dutch comments.
I drove my car to the dealer for a check up and for changing the oil. I decided to walk back home (instead of waiting) and took a trail through a natural area.

  4. Fabulous shots of the goose, Herman. And I am with you! I am having a Love affair with Lightroom. There is still SO much more for me to learn. Perhaps I need to read the book I have on all the ins and outs of Lightroom. Naw! I like to learn on hands. LOL Expect the unexpected. I shall, thank you! Love, Amy โค

  5. Oh, I recognize that goose, he was just on the river across the road. I asked if he’d ever been to Belgium. I began to tell him all about you and Mr Bowie but then he honked, “gotta go” and off he went Eastwardlyโ€ฆ..What a guy “eh?”
