The Next Note

IMG_7219

Hit a wrong note. Someone said, ‘If you hit a wrong note, it’s the next note that you play that determines if it’s good or bad.’ I’m not so sure about that. This is the look Mr. Bowie gave me when he woke up because I had hit a wrong note on my keyboard. I realised placing your fingers correctly on the piano keys is crucial to developing more advanced abilities. Especially if you don’t want to wake up your cat.

    • I’m already playing ‘electronic’, Yvonne. But I got to be careful with headphones due to my tendonitis ear problems.

  1. 😀 Your photo makes me smile Mr Bowie because it’s like one of those fine portraits of a royal cat from the 15th century or something. Your purring would be music to my ears xo ❤

  2. There is no wrong note in that wonderful portrait of Mr. Bowie. I think your photography has caused him to hold you to a high standard in all things, Herman. But only he is perfect.

    • Thank you, Angela. It’s a real pleasure taking photographs of a cat like Mr. Bowie… Even after playing a wrong note… 😉

    • Oh yes, I’m always laughing when Mr. Bowie gives me that look…
‘Stinkface’… love that word! Going to use that…

    • Mr. Bowie always meows when I’m using high notes in a sequencer loop. Most of the synth sounds are no problem. When I’m playing piano he joins me, I guess he likes the piano sounds…
