Boyhood, a moving 12 year epic. This groundbreaking movie is a time-lapse study of Mason, growing up from around the age of five to 18, from primary school to his first day in college. This emotional epic is a 12-years-in-the-making masterpiece from Richard Linklater. It’s funny, tender and full of warmth and humanity. Boyhood runs 165 minutes but Mr. Bowie didn’t want to miss a minute.

  1. Sorry Mr Bowie, unless there are birds, or mice, or the sheep dog trials, I tend to nod off, and I never ever see the end of any film. πŸ™‚

    • Have you watch the Pixar movie ‘Ratatouille’? It’s Mr. Bowie’s favourite movie. It’s about Remy, an anthropomorphic rat who is interested in cooking. I’m sure you’re going to like this movie, Milo!

  2. OMGosh, yes I saw an interview with Ethan Hawke. What an original and risky undertaking. If anyone of the actors had a mishap in the 12 years of filming, it could have been financially devasting. I can’t wait to see it. 165 minutes sounds like a two-popcorn-bowl event, I best get an extra bottle of wine.

  3. Looks interesting but we can’t watch anything involving tissues πŸ˜‰ only treats πŸ™‚ . Glad Mr Bowie liked it. Simon is not a real movie connoisseur for some reason and he has been acting really finicky today–more than usual.

    • Ja, ik heb daar ook al aan gedacht. Ik heb wel een paar clips maar toch te weinig om er een 165 min. lange speelfilm van te maken… πŸ˜‰

  4. Sounds similar to the Seven Up series which I really enjoyed a few years back. Must try to make time to see this movie….maybe you can send over some of your “spare time” – I am completely out! LOL

  5. HA! Laura and I are on the same wavelength! I was going to ask if it is on Amazon too! I must watch this. I have been SO into movies lately, just chilling, with at least 4 cats on the same couch as I am, lounging alongside with me. Sometimes I get one who lays on my chest and I have to keep pushing a big furry tail out of the way so that I can see the TV. Thank YOU for the recommendation!! Love, Amy

  6. This was at our local theatre recently, but I didn’t get a chance to see it. Will have to watch for it to come to HBO. Glad Mr. B enjoyed it. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
