  1. Aww Herman she was beautiful. It’s so sad to have to say goodbye to our little loved ones, but sometimes it’s the only choice. It is the time you spent together that matters and enriches our lives and theirs.

  2. lill sweetie (!!!)…not easy to let them go…we had 4 oldies of 17 past 2 years, also passing the rainbow bridge, lots of tears below…to their land of dreams, far away and high above…sooo sad ;-(

  3. Herman – it’s always sad to lose a furry frend . Friends for a short time, remembered for a lifetime. On the day I gave permision to the emergency clinic to release old Mr. Beaucastel from this life, I remember sitting in the grieving area with his body before I took him home for burial. On the wall was a poster with an old Irish proverb that read, “A cat’s eyes are like windows, enabling us to see into another world.” They have that ability, these furry ones. In that other world across the bridge, Glippie will be waiting for her loved ones.

There is a song you might like, called “The Other Side”, by Don Conoscenti. It is on You Tube. Google it. The song will bring you joy as well as tears.

  4. What a sweetie pie. Mom says she reminds her of her and our dad’s first kitty, Skooter. Sending purrs and prayers to Glippie’s family. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  5. So sorry for your friends Herman. She was beautiful and your lovely picture will bring back good memories. I know too well how hard it is to let them go but to never have shared their lives would be much worse, I think.

  7. Though I am merely a mouse…it’s never the same when a pet leaves the house…or world we live in for that matter. Please accept our condolences…CJ and Morguie :/

  8. I finished the garden around the big cherry tree today, and planted daffodils, iris and tulips for your mother, since she liked trees and gardens. And some bulbs for Glippie and Mrs. Jones, too. Now we wait for spring…

  9. The cherry tree garden for your mom, Glippie and Mrs. Jones is now posted, Herman. It is just getting started, so just a few blooms now and more to come later.

    • Thank you so much for the cherry tree garden. It really moved me, Lavinia. Much appreciated!
What a coincidence…!! Yesterday, I received an e-mail from my friend (Glippie’s human). He told me they got a new cat, a black and white Tuxedo cat. A few weeks ago, this cat walked into their house and stayed there. My friend checked the neighbourhood if someone was missing a cat but no one was missing one. I’m going to pay the cat, named Spotty, and my friend a vist real soon and post some pictures on HoB…
