And So It Ends

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. The summer ends and autumn comes. Bye bye love. Bye bye happiness. Hello loneliness. I think I’m gonna cry. Deep sigh…

  1. What a wonderful shot of Mr. Bowie, so wistful and pensive. Don’t be sad Mr. Bowie, with that beautiful fur coat you are ready for colder weather. Think of stalking dry leaves in the garden and cuddling up to keep Herman warn on those snowy days.. ..

    • Thank you, Angela! A fur coat like Mr. Bowie for me would come in handy in the winter. Snowy days… the horror… the horror…

  2. He is looking up and remembering snow; I remember it well too, Mr. Bowie, too much of it last year. Maybe this year won’t be as bad as last winter was. We can hope for the best and prepare for….whatever.

  3. I refuse to whine about winter this year as it got me nowhere during the polar vortex…just made me miserable. So I’m going to try and smile every now and again through the cold and snow. Happy Autumn Herman!

    • One night, in the late 90 years, there was a real UFO boom (of a “square” craft with unusual lighting) in the region (and town) were I live. It was all over the news on tv and in all the newspapers. Some people said it was US military related.

PS: Yep, I saw one too that night, at 2 am driving home from visiting friends.

      • Nooooo Way! That’s pretty cool Herman! I’ve seen a whole program on this and wondered if they might have come your way. Those Egyptian’s used to worship cats and build some pretty crazy stuff. Maybe Mr Bowie’s ancient kind flew themselves to Earth to rule mankind……wait a second, my cats ARE pretty bossy :/

          • I think, they think, they are the boss of me. I shall fluff tummys, brush coats to a shine, wash and fill bowls often, refresh waterfall fountain daily, open window for fresh air, now close window blind (too sunny), pick up little howling one constantly and provide constant companionship by answering all inquisitive “meows” with wonder and excitement. Does any of this sound familiar? (PS, I’m only half kidding) xo

  4. That’s a beautful closeup of Mr. Bowie, Herman! Yes, winter coming soon here too, although it has been in the 90s recently! A very unusual start to autumn in this part of the world. Not quite time for hot chocolate in the morning yet, but that will be coming!

The birds, and bees, have started attacking the wine grapes. I had to throw netting up over my two test rows I wanted to press this fall! Mr. Bowie urgently neded…Nano the Great White Hunter is calling in for help to Mr. Bowie, the Great Grey Hunter… 🙂

    • Thank you, Lavinia. Hot chocolate is the only thing I like about winter… 😉

Mr. Bowie, the Great Grey Hunter, says you may book a flight to the U.S. of A. and he’s wondering if the human can join him?

    • Oh yes. It still feels like summer but I’m always looking in a negative way to the future in this part of the year… 😉

  5. We feel your pain, Mr. Bowie. Fall started here a few weeks ago; and though it is Mom’s favorite season, we feel it means an early winter and less time on the Catio. Pffft! Love the photo of you looking up and how it shows off your eyebrows and whiskers. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  6. By the time I finally get to see Mr. Bowie’s lovely face and whiskers I am at the end of the line and all the thoughts are expressed…and so, just one little one: we love you Mr. Bowie! Christine, Dylan and Bagheera
