May I Remind You

Remark. Concerning the Yahoo Sports article by Dan Wetzel, A matter of national insecurity: Why U.S. absolutely cannot lose to Belgium. May I remind you that pride comes before the fall…

PS: Whatever happens next Tuesday, I hope we can still be friends, my dear and loyal U.S. followers.

  1. I’m with Derrycats. Besides I never bother with that kind of sports drivel. For something worth reading I come here.

  2. Mom cares nothing about soccer and neither do we. Of course, we will be furiends. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth & Calista Jo,

  3. As a non-futbol fan, it doesn’t matter to me who wins; however, since the soccer fans at the office will be for the US, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, the birds and I will be cheering for the Red Devils just to balance things out a little.

  4. I said I would not be partisan, but honestly, I’m going with Belgium. How else not? For this: “So Belgium, stop with this smug belief that we’re content with a simple life surrounded by friends and families as we sit in well-maintained gardens sipping expertly-crafted beer perfected by monks over the past thousand years.” This sounds pretty good to me. Go Red Devils. You’ve got thousand-year-old monks on your side. The article, which I otherwise found hilarious, neglected to point out the balancing factor. Devils, monks. Sounds well-rounded to me. –Bugs

  5. Nothing could divert my affections for you both. Given the fact that I’m not a football watcher hasn’t anything to do with it at all, you’re just THAT adorable 😀

    Go Team Bowie

  6. No hard feelings here, “soccer” is not the national pastime here in the states. But I’m sure we have sports fans cheering nevertheless. Mr. B’s looking fit.♥
