12 Degrees

Something is wrong. A huge storm has hit the UK, with gusts of over 160 kilometres per hour adding to the chaos and misery of the ongoing flooding crisis. Snow and ice cause severe disruption to parts of Canada and the US of A.
I started working outside in the garden today. 12 Degrees Celsius, lots of sunshine. Mr. Bowie was busy working on his tan. What’s wrong with the climate?

  1. Mr Bowie must have weather magic in addition to his other talents. My garden looks like the Arctic, except the Arctic is melting and my garden is still frozen.

  2. I’m putting new concrete in the catio today. It’s partly cloudy and 70º F( 21º C). The midwest and east coast are freezing, and west coast is dry and burning, and we have nice, mild temps — it’s part of New Mexico’s “Enchantment Factor”. The warm temps are actually a false spring we get this time of year.

  3. It’s sure a mess here, but spring will be here soon……we hope. If the snow would just stop and go away, it wouldn’t feel so long, waiting for spring. Enjoy your time outside, Herman and Mr. Bowie. Just look at that gorgeous face!

  4. Global warming. Climate change. We have played our part in it. And if our damned governments don’t get off their (_|_)s and legislate regarding carbon emissions, it will just get worse … and worse … Sorry, will now get off soapbox. Mr Bowie’s tan not up to much. [grin]

  5. It’s a pleasant, warm day in Colorado, too. Bless all those in distress AND those who are working on their tans today! I’m sure, though, wherever Mr. Bowie is, it’s a wonderful place to be.

  6. Well I’m glad SOMEONE is getting nice Spring-like weather…..it’s 32 here and there’s over a foot of snow on the ground. Fire in the fireplace…..cheese fondue warming up……crusty bread in the oven…..not a sign of anything GREEN outside here yet. Enjoy your garden……(think of us poor folks in the COLD while you’re out there!!).

  7. Very happy that you guys are getting good weather. Mr. Bowie looks beautiful against the foliage. We were supposed to be warm and sunny starting yesterday, cold and dreary and no sign of moisture. That doesn’t bode well since we sit in farm country. Wish the weather would right itself! Enjoy and keep posting beautiful pics so we can all enjoy vicariously through you and Mr. Bowie!

  8. Tan while you can my friends, tan while you can. Gentle hugs to all the families suffering loss and devastation in the UK, we’re watching with sadness. It’s not normal anywhere’s, personally, I’m very worried.

  9. It is definately wrong here in the UK, but my cat loves the rain. He goes out for ages in the pouring rain, gets his fur soaking, comes in and then looks at his human slaves for a towel dry. And obviously we oblige. 🙂

  10. Weather is just mixed up right now, hopefully it will all get better for everyone everywhere soon. Those beautiful eyes just melt our hearts…oh my! Hugs and nose kisses

  11. Sorry about the weather… I don’t think Herman is going to get a tan… Poor little guy… But you can tell him I think he’s handsome just like he is… Hope you both stay safe…♥

  12. We are so tired of this weird and wacky winter. We had the third largest snow in the history of our city in Virginia last week with 20 inches in 24 hours. That stuff is going to be piled up here for weeks. And the temps have been way colder than usual. Enjoy your gardening time and tell Mr. Bowie that he is one lucky kitty. 13. Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the storms in the UK. Here in Boston, we get one snowstorm after another, but we are okay. Enjoy the nice weather whenever it comes your way!
