Message From My Cat #22

Oh no! Forecasters have revealed they are expecting a horror winter – the coldest in a century – with months of persistent snowfall.

Editor’s Note: Dear Mr. Bowie, it is irresponsible of these fools to release such forecasts. The science simply doesn’t exist to accurately predict so far in advance. Weather is too unpredictable. Just like you, Mr. Bowie.

  1. Mr Bowie your editor is quite right. They have no idea what’s coming, so relax, live in the day, and we’ll deal with whatever we need to deal with when it is required. OK?

  2. Same here in the Uk ““horror winter” predicted, everyone says the same every year when they see red berries on the bushes late autumn, if it’s really that bad there might be alot of stoking of real fires in the hearth but will take an awful lot more for me to bring a litter tray in for my two, we will dig them out a snow tunnel if we have to!

  3. Mr. Bowie, If we fur people did the weather forecasting, we would be much more accurate than the humans. Do your whiskers ever twitch when it’s going to rain? Does your fur stand on end when there’s lightning? Does your tail flick when snow is coming? See………..we can do better. We’ve already decided we’re not going to allow winter this year.

  4. I like the bottom note. For years, I loved hearing what they predicted for every seasons. We’ll have a normal winter. We’ll have a hot summer. We’ll have a freezing winter. Know what? I don’t remember them having ever been right.

Maybe that’s selfish, but I hope you get the coldest winter for a century. Based on the laws of nature, it means we will have a warm winter. LOL 🙂

  5. If we’d heard that forecast, we would look just as grumpy as you do, Mr. B. The forecasters are really just guessers. We rarely believe what they are saying as they barely get it right 10 percent of the time. Don’t count your flakes before they fall. 6. I’m sure this is merely a public service announcement to motivate humans to get up off their behinds and prepare so us animals survive the winter in the level of comfort we are accustomed to. *wink*

  7. Maybe those bears have a good idea by just waking up in the spring. We got blasted this weekend with snow and icy temps. Even when you know it’s coming, it is unwelcome.
