57,000 Lightning Strikes

57,000 lightning strikes recorded during recent storm. This was the most intense lightning storm in 5 years time. And I couldn’t take even one picture of a lighting bolt…

I asked Mr. Bowie about his hiding place. Not only did Mr. Bowie show me one of his secret hiding places in the garden house, he also told me he wasn’t afraid during the storm. That’s one cool cat!

  1. I love how flexible cats are. Tigger’s favorite hiding place is under my bed. First sign of danger and under she goes! Clearly she wouldn’t make a very good guard dog…er, cat. 😉

  2. Awww, bless his heart, he found a safe place and I bet he was so scared, even tho he is such a cool cat. Let’s hope that’s the last of that, cos that’s a lot of lightening.

  3. Mr. Bowie has good storm hiding practices. Get low, get underneath something. I bet, though, he would have preferred to have done that next to you, Herman.

    • Hey Rumpy, you’re a doggie… Don’t be embarrassed to admit you’re scared during thunder and lightning. However, Mr. Bowie is a cool cat! 😉

  4. Mr Bowie has all the good spots sorted! Cleo gets up the top of the walk in robe…perfect perch for observing the dumb humans..Have a great day and wow that is a lot of lightning!!! ‘Hugs Fozziemum

  5. my pure white kitty Star hids under the bed and sometimes had a hard time seeing her camouflaged between the white sheets.. you are one brave furkid bowie 🙂

    • Als ik 3 jaar avondschool fotografie achter de rug heb zal ik er wel klaar voor zijn…
      Blijven ‘focussen’… ha ha ha…

  6. Mr. Bowie, you sure have a cute back end. If you weren’t scared, how come you hid? We’ed be under the bed for sure. That sounds like a really scary storm. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  7. Hey Mr Bowie, good thinking. You’re so flexible. Did you ever see that movie with Sean Connery and Katherine Zeta Jones where they do a heist and have to get thru the blue laser security beams?…..ya, you’d be good at that.
