The King of Belgium

Newsflash. Oh no! I have to unexpectedly postpone the Puddingfest a.k.a. my birthday party on 21 July. In a national televised address, our 79-year-old monarch said he would step down on 21 July, Belgium’s national day. He said it was time to “pass on the flame”. He will be succeeded by his son, Crown Prince Philippe, 53.
In my opinion this is unsatisfactory. Mr. Bowie was ready for the job. I say, Mr. Bowie for President!

  1. Haha, it would definitely make for MUCH more interesting New Year’s speeches… zzzz

  2. Ferm hoe Bowie inspeelt op dit hot news! En ja ik had hem wel eens willen zien met de kroon, maar is die op de foto niet een beetje te groot?

  3. We don’t think you should postpone your celebration for some old, stodgy coronation. Your purrday is much more impawtant than that. We’re going to be celebrating in the good old USA as well ’cause that will be our first blogaversary. Not as impawtent as your purrday, but at the top of our list. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  4. You know they could have at least called Mr. Bowie to ask if he would take that position. I’m sure he would have done a fine job. Maybe your party should still go on!

  5. Why was Mr Bowie not asked if this was suitable! fancy having a royal clash on your birthday…killjoy King! if we weren’t Australian you would have our vote! 🙂 beautiful boy 😉

  6. He has my vote! Hang on! Thats not how it works is it? My Bowie certainly looks the regal one!
