A step in the right direction. Enjoyed sitting outside on a balmy summer evening; food and the company were very enjoyable. It was warm enough to sit outside until long after dark. It was also fun to watch bats flying around, but they were way too fast for Bowie and my camera.

  1. Bats are really hard to photograph. My old biology professor designed special high speed flashes and triggers for photographing bats in the 1980’s. Google images for “scott altenbach, bats” and you can see some of his phenomenal bat photos. Today he works on bat preservation.

    • Wow! That’s very impressive… Such amazing photographs! Thank you for this info about Scott Altenbach!
Enjoy your last days in France Timothy.

    • Amazing photography from Mr. Altenbach, thank you Timothy (and Bowie, see what your celebrity status has done!) Cheers ~Scott

  2. We often see bats on our early morning walks…..Sam sits and watches with fascination and I stand and hope they don’t land on my head! Glad you had a perfect evening with Bowie and friends in your garden listening to night sounds and enjoying yourselves.

  3. It doesn’t look as if you were the least bit interested in the bats. Just chillin’ is a much better use of your time. Glad you had a nice summery day and evening, Mr. B.
